I drive innovation for human-centered AI products that augment human ingenuity.
I led multiple initiatives from 0-to-1 at Grammarly. From integrating into a billion mobile Samsung keyboards; pivoting the Android strategy to be an AI writing assistant instead of just a keyboard app; and launching their first-ever product extensions—I led cross-functional teams through uncharted areas of ambiguity (e.g. global partnerships, mobile-first AI, and product extension strategy) to drive human-centered AI.

Before Grammarly, I joined Yahoo’s APM program to transition from design to product management, where I was drawn to the opportunities to productize AI at a global scale. Across Yahoo, I launched AI-powered features that boosted productivity on Yahoo Mail, and computer vision platforms that generated image captions to elevate accessibility across Yahoo News. Here, I cut my teeth on how to wrangle AI/ML research and ideas into real-world impact at scale.

He has phenomenal product design sense. I have been in awe of Daniel’s ability to take pretty gnarly product problems and, working closely with designers, scientists, and engineers, come up with elegant, beautiful solutions. His work on Yahoo Mail's package tracking alerts and smart replies positively affects millions of users every single day and sets a great example for others to follow in how to innovate at all levels. He will be missed!

I believe impactful innovation needs a multidisciplinary, human-centered approach, especially so for non-deterministic AI products. I often lead projects by first outlining nuanced user emotions—which aspirations should we amplify, which anxieties should we proactively mitigate? Aligning around these humanizing principles helps teams navigate ambiguity across designs, prioritization decisions, and even technical AI tradeoffs to ultimately deliver product experiences that truly feel “delightfully cohesive” for users.
